Toix Sea Cliffs
Roland's Magical Mystery Tour (5,5,5)
This route is the only one of the classic lower-grade expeditions which I had not previously done, and I was keen to do it on this trip, possibly our last to this area of Spain for a while. So it was that on the last day of our holiday five of us made our way down to Toix Sea Cliffs and the spectacular free abseil down to the fishermens' ledge and the waiting cactus.
There's a long traverse at about Diff until the climbing proper starts. Rockfax reckons it's a bit easier than 5, and the first two pitches are probably 4 or 4+ - very exposed but on good holds. However the crux moves on the top pitch are worth 5 of anyone's money.
Another superb route in a tremendous situation. We left the top at gone 4:00 pm with a rush to be changed and at the airport by 6:00!
